Kat Clarke

Kat Clarke is a Wotjobaluk woman and a multi-talented creative with over 20 years' experience in the arts industry. She has a background in curatorial work and writing and uses this alongside her arts to develop work that bring awareness about her people and culture. Her medium of choice is Acrylic, but she has expanded her craft in Clay, Artefacts, and Crafts. Kat has gained her knowledge and her teachings from her father and many Elders who have collaborated with her throughout the years. Much of her art has been commissioned by organisations throughout Victoria, such as Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI), Federation University, the Immigration Museum, Melbourne University, Palliative Care Victoria, Barengi Gadjin Land Council (BGLC), Grampians Health Services in the Wimmera and just recently Dalki Garringa Native Nursery. Since becoming a mum, her passion is to pass on her knowledge to her son and teach him the ways of culture the way she was taught.
