Rynelle Walker

I had limited knowledge of my Aboriginal heritage, as my Grandmother was taken from Cunnamulla to Cherbourg Mission as a child.  After sitting and talking with Traditional women from Central Australia in 2000, I was taught the meaning of symbols and gained cultural knowledge.  This opened my eyes to my connection to my heritage, and I began to paint. My paintings reflect how I see life today, and my continual learning of my culture.  This has been an exciting journey of discovery.  I currently live and work in Daylesford Victoria, but travel outback to my home country and our great country to reconnect and renew. My paintings is my life discovery and very personal, and I hope they help others on their own self-discovery journey.
