Timothy Walkerden

My Father was a descendent of the Stolen Generations, so I grew up without knowing anything of my culture. I always did artwork and was talented. Through the Torch project, which provides art and cultural support to Indigenous offenders and Ex-Offenders, I began to discover my Aboriginal heritage. Since then I have not looked back. I do paintings and woodwork and focus on symbols which reflect my culture. My artwork represents my life and my discovery of culture.  I have successfully sold many pieces and love that my artwork continues to keep my Aboriginal heritage alive.
