I was born in Ballarat but have lived interstate before returning home. I am a Noongar, Yamatji women living here on Wadawurrung Country.
My cultural journey has been just that a journey through family, connection, Country, pride, disconnection, generational trauma and reconnection. It is all valid and about growth as a women, community member, mother, sista, friend and role model.
I share some of my stories and feelings through my art and the connections I have to Wadawurrung Country. Ballaarat has always welcomed me back with open arms and my memories of Amangu Country holding me close as a child are just as warm. Both Countries are special to me and my family and is reflected in my art.
I often use mixed media as I love gathering things to create artwork with. I feel like I can tell a more detailed story with multiple layers and textures.
