I am a Barkindji woman who was born and raised along the Murray River. My Father Gordon Kirby was an artist and Aboriginal Artifact maker, making didgeridoos, boomerangs and clap sticks.
Many of my artworks represent the traditional animals from the Murray River and surroundings. Some of the traditional animals I paint are kangaroos, emus, snakes, echidnas, goannas, frogs and fish.
In each of my artworks there is always a different and unique story, telling the journey of the people, the animals and the land.
