I was born in Maroopna (Vic) but knew nothing about my culture. I was brought up in foster care by a wonderful family, but didn’t understand why I was different and dark skinned. I do remember starting to do crochet, in my late 20’s, and making a dilly bag and other things. 25 years ago, I came to Ballarat, and began to learn a lot more of my culture. Today I continue to learn more, and put back what I know into my artwork. My special interest in using natural fibres and items to make jewellery and weaving. My journey continues
