I was born in Toowoomba, but raised in Ballarat and Western Victoria. My artwork has assisted me to find my connection to Country, as my Mother was part of the Stolen Generation, the intergenerational trauma has impacted on her mental health and my own. The local Aboriginal community has assisted me to reconnect to Country.
My paintings use symbols which I’ve been shown by Elders. Others are a blend of the facets of my personality and my life, and painting them assists me to heal.
I enjoy my connections to other Aboriginal people and the Community in Ballarat.
