While growing up, I was immersed in culture. My Father had been teaching me his culture and both my parents are now Elders. I have been painting my stories for almost 20 years. I enjoy painting acrylic on canvas, and also burning my stories on wood. I love telling stories of my Community, and my family and people’s gatherings. This reflects a celebration of my land and my culture. I am honored when my art work is on display and purchased for peoples own home, and hope the cultural stories translate to everyone.
